Much of the morning sessions was about the implementation and use of a tracking sheet called the Teacher Workbook. Exploring the pages within and uploading our class results from our recent PAT tests (scale and stanine), but I must remember to go back and finish transferring my Reader's Survey Results into the workbook.
Having a good look around the NZCERassist console, exploring what each of the reporting features gives us, has opened my eyes to a much easier way of managing class data and diverse needs.
Moving forward, I'll spend some time going through these tabs, maybe even using the data to present to learners in small groups, so that we can set better learning goals at this year level. Learning that ARBS activities/suggested next steps are linked within the "Individual Item Report" tab
is something I'm grateful to have learned today. This will come in very handy for supporting those learners that need extra support.
Note to self: Once the information overload eases, go back into the workbook to delete the old curriculum tabs (progressions).

Hi Regan, Great to see you recognising the value in the teacher workbook. We like that it has a place for everything. We call it our one stop shop! I also enjoy delving into NZCER Assist - a great place to generate some learning goals for various groups of students. I like that it gives me targeted teaching. Looking forward to catching up on Wednesday. Kiri
